PM - Preventative / Preventive Maintenance
MHEControl Definition: To perform periodic inspections of equipment listing all the defects or probable defects of a piece of equipment and to create a plan from the information collected from the inspection to help reduce or elminiate the potential of the defect from having a recurring failure or from related components failing. Essentially inspections should be acquired from a service provider that is condition-based to address current maintenance issues and reduce other maintenance from happening.
Wikipedia Definition: 1. The care and servicing by personnel for the purpose of maintaining equipment and facilities in satisfactory operating condition by providing for systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects. 2. Maintenance, including parts replacement, performed specifically to prevent faults from occuring.

OEM - Original Equipment Manufactured
Dictionary: Abbreviation, original equipment manufacturer (an organization that makes devices from component parts bought from other organizations.
MHEControl Definition: Authentic parts, components or units of equipment in the form of a product that were originally designed, engineered with drawings that both have reference numbers, model numbers and drawing numbers issued by the manufacturer when the product was first built. The creator of the product has the historical knowledge of the product and can reproduce the product based on design drawings to ensure correct size, material and integrity is maintained.
Wikipedia Definition: An original equipment manufacturer, or OEM manufactures products or components that are purchased by a company and retailed under the purchasing company's brand name. OEM Refers to the company that originally manufactured the product.
OHC - Overhead crane / Bridge Crane
MHEControl Definition: An overhead crane is a lifting device which is made up of various components: The bridge which is the structural component that supports the entire load of the crane, the hoist which is the lifting component and the trolley which moves the hoist. All three primary components has movement along three axises: bridge travel motion that moves the entire crane along a runway structure, hoist up-down motions for raising and lifting loads and trolley traverse motion that is primarily used for positioning of loads long the horizontal plane of the the bridge.
Wikipedia Definition: An overhead crane, also known as a bridge crane, is a type of crane where the hook-and-line mechanism runs along a horizontal beam that itself runs along two widely separated rails. Often it is in a long factory building and runs along rails along the building's tow long walls. It is similar to a gantry crane. Overhead Cranes typically consist of a hoist to lift the items, the bridge, which is part of the area covered by the crane, and the trolley to move along the bridge.
